Based in Chesapeake, this support staff member opening at Wise Scholars pays $13 – $15/Hr and requires no formal early childhood credentials to start.
We are seeking a reliable and caring Childcare Provider to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in fostering the growth and development of the children in our care. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the children's safety, implementing engaging activities, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
To succeed in this position, you should have a background in childcare, preferably in a daycare or similar setting. You should also possess strong behavior management skills, effective communication skills, and the ability to create engaging educational activities. Additionally, having a high school diploma or equivalent is essential.

What You'll Do
Responsibilities:
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children in your care by maintaining a clean and organized space and implementing age-appropriate activities
- Develop and implement engaging educational programs that cater to the needs of the children
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, and naptime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Work closely with parents to address any concerns or issues that may arise and maintain open communication about the child's progress
- Implement effective behavior management and discipline strategies when necessary
- Ensure the overall health and happiness of the children in your care
Requirements
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of child welfare and development principles
- Ability to create and implement engaging educational activities
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Previous experience working with children in a daycare or similar setting
