Lead Preschool Teacher

What You'll Do

We're seeking a dedicated professional to take on the following responsibilities:

• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and guidelines issued by Walnut Grove Children's Learning Center.
• Complete approved training, with a minimum of 16 hours of professional development each year.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children under their care.
• Develop and implement engaging activities for their assigned group, including weekly lesson plans submitted to the director.
• Set and work towards individual goals for each child, planning activities and strategies to support their progress.
• Conduct parent conferences, as needed, to keep families informed and involved.
• Monitor and record each child's development, behavior, and progress.
• Use positive guidance techniques to promote healthy behavior.
• Maintain a well-organized, attractive, and functional learning environment.
• Report any necessary repairs, replacements, or maintenance to the director.
• Promote a positive and inclusive staff culture.
• Attend all staff meetings and training programs.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.

Requirements

• Knowledge of early childhood development and a commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong organizational, planning, and execution skills, including time management
• Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
• Minimum 1-year experience working with groups of preschool-age children
• CPR and First Aid Certification
