About This Role
Treehouse Academy LLC is hiring for a support staff member role in Edgerton. Compensation is $14 – $16/Hr. Candidates need no formal early childhood credentials to start.
This Pre-K daycare position requires a teacher to create a safe and nurturing environment for young children, aged 3-5. Key responsibilities include planning educational activities, monitoring progress, communicating with parents, and maintaining a clean and organized classroom. What You'll Do
- Design and implement lesson plans that foster social, emotional, and cognitive growth in young children.
- Lead engaging activities that promote sharing, cooperation, and basic math and literacy skills.
- Track and record each child's development, making note of progress and areas for improvement.
- Maintain a safe and well-organized classroom environment, prioritizing the needs of all children.
- Stay in touch with parents and guardians, addressing concerns and sharing updates on their child's progress.
- Ensure the safety of children at all times, both within and outside the classroom.
- Encourage social skills development by modeling and teaching positive interactions.
Requirements
- Background Check: A clean background check is usually required to ensure the safety of the children.
- Skills: Strong communication, patience, creativity, and a passion for early childhood education.
- Experience: Prior experience working with young children, either through internships, volunteering, or previous teaching positions.
- Certification: Depending on the state or country, you may need specific certifications like a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
- First Aid/CPR Certification: Many positions require certification in first aid and CPR
