Toddler's Morning Out, Inc. is hiring for a support staff member role in White River Junction. Compensation is $23.04/Hr. Candidates need the appropriate background.
Welcome to Toddler's Morning Out, a pioneering early childhood program in the Upper Valley! For over three decades, we've provided a nurturing environment for toddlers between 18 months and 3 years old, where they can learn and grow through play, creativity, and socialization. We're a close-knit community of experienced teachers and families who value education, support, and mutual respect.
We're seeking a talented educator to join our team! If you're passionate about working with young children and building their confidence and curiosity, we'd love to explore this opportunity with you. Our ideal candidate will work approximately 5 mornings a week, around 4 hours per morning, following the Hanover NH/Norwich VT school calendar.

What You'll Do
We're looking for a team player who can help create a warm, inclusive atmosphere for our young learners. Under the guidance of our Director, the successful candidate will contribute to curriculum planning, supervise activities, maintain classroom order, and foster positive relationships with parents and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintains a safe and engaging environment that promotes children's physical and emotional well-being.
- Prepares and sets up activities, materials, and equipment according to plans and directives.
- Collaborates with the team to ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom space.
- Promotes good hygiene practices and ensures the health and safety of all children.
- Monitors activities to prevent accidents and ensures the well-being of each child.
- Maintains open communication with parents, shares information, and addresses concerns.
- Documents incidents, medications, and concerns as needed.
- Supervises the Classroom Assistant and provides guidance and support.
- Ensures regular attendance, notifies the Director of absences, and assists in finding substitutes.
- Writes articles for the TMO Newsletter and participates in parent-teacher conferences as required.
- Attends staff meetings and contributes to team discussions.
- Completes required professional development hours (15 hours every 12 months) to maintain VT State Licensing compliance.
- Reports concerns and needs to the Director Teacher in a timely manner.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will hold a college degree in early childhood education or a related field, or meet VT state licensing requirements for associate/lead teacher. We'll provide support and guidance to interested applicants in reviewing educational and licensing requirements.
We require the following certifications and clearances:
- First Aid/CPR certification - TMO will provide training and support
- VT Background check/Fingerprinting
- Completion of VT Orientation and Mandated Abuse/Neglect Online Training Courses
