What You'll Do
- Develop and implement educational curriculum by creating age-appropriate activities that align with early learning standards.
- Foster a collaborative teaching team by modeling and coaching best practices.
- Design and lead individual and group activities that promote social, cognitive, and emotional growth in children.
- Maintain regular communication with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Ensure compliance with all center policies and state regulations.
- Establish a healthy classroom environment by maintaining hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards.
- Accurately record and maintain center forms and files.
- Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and quality of care.
Requirements
- High energy.
- Ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional child care experience.
- Must clear full background check prior to start date.
- Must be at least 18 yrs. old.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification preferred but not required.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
- A strong understanding of child development.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements
- Other movements required from time to time, but are not limited to: stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping.
- Must be able to stand or sit at times, for an extended amount of time or walk for long distances.
- Must be able to lift persons or objects up to 50lbs.
