What You'll Do
- Supporting children with daily needs, including mealtime, toileting, and hygiene.
- Assisting in curriculum implementation and promoting child participation.
- Engaging in activities, maintaining classroom order, and ensuring the availability of materials.
- Maintaining regular communication with parents through informal discussions and progress reports.
- Modeling self-help and good hygiene practices.
- Ensuring a smooth transition from home to the child care center.
- Keeping accurate records.
- Maintaining a high-quality Youngstar classroom environment.
- Following center policies and Wisconsin Licensing standards.
- Developing a personal professional development plan for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
- MUST love to give hugs.
- Have a PASSION for children.
- The DESIRE to make a difference in the lives of others.
- High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
- Experience in child care setting.
- A strong understanding of child development.
- Leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Consistent, reliable attendance.

Nice to Have

- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
- Associate’s Degree in early childhood education or related field of study with a minimum of 30 Credits in ECE.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
