Based in Charlotte, this support staff member opening at The Butterfly Garden Child Development Center pays $16 – $18/Hr and requires the appropriate background.
We are seeking a qualified Lead Early 'Educarer' to join our toddler classroom at our small, family-oriented center in the heart of the Idlewild-South community.
Our program is built on the Creative Curriculum, fostering a play-based learning environment that nurtures the whole child.

What You'll Do
- Develop and implement engaging Creative Curriculum lesson plans that align with NC Foundations, ensuring a comprehensive and effective learning experience for our children.
- Maintain high standards by following best practices and assisting in preparations for QRIS Pathway 2, aiming for a 5-Star rating.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and healthy learning environment that promotes children's physical and emotional well-being.
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with children, staff, and families, building strong relationships and trust.
- Monitor and document each child's progress, making adjustments as needed to accommodate individual learning differences.
- Establish a positive classroom culture that promotes kindness, empathy, and good manners, with optional prayer sessions before meals.
Requirements
- Medical exam & TB clearance
- Current NC Criminal Background check for child care
- The North Carolina Early Childhood Credential (NCECC) is a mandatory requirement for lead teachers in NC childcare centers, designed to ensure quality care and foundational education. It is typically earned by completing the EDU 119 ("Intro to Early Childhood Education")
- Complete all annual NCDHHS requirements for Early Childhood Development
- Physically capable of lifting 50lbs, squatting, bending, running.
- Be technology proficient for online training requirements and developmental documentation
