Terryville Plymouth Day Care Center - The Learning Center in Terryville, CT is seeking a qualified Lead Infant/Toddler Teacher/s to work with Infant / Toddler (0–2) in a center-based environment. This position requires completed early childhood education college credits.
TLC is looking for a dependable, caring, and fun loving Infant/Toddler Teacher/s to join our educator community! The lead Infant/Toddler/s Teacher will be responsible for creating leaning experiences, goals and objectives, managing the classroom schedule, and working with the support staff to create a positive and loving classroom environment. Our center is a close knit family, we are looking to add a dedicated teacher/s to our community. This is a full-time position.

What You'll Do
The Teacher is responsible for providing a safe and developmentally appropriate program in accordance with all relevant policies, procedures and legislation.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a developmentally appropriate program for young children. Plan and implement learning experiences to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of the children. Follow the Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards when planning and assess with the Connecticut Documentation & Observation for Teaching Systems.
Maintain First Aid/CPR Certification.
Ensure that children are supervised at all times during indoor and outdoor activities, establish routines, provide positive guidance and observe children and assess progress.
Communicate with families about their child's development and needs.
Delegate daily duties and responsibilities to support staff in the classroom. Provide mentoring and leadership to support staff.
Requirements
Associates or Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood or related field - Preferred
CDA
Knowledge in child development and early education theories and practices, effective verbal and listening communication skills, flexibility, compassion, patience and nurturing.
Bachelors Degree with 12 credits in Early Childhood.
Associates Degree in Early Childhood or related field.
Associates Degree with 12 credits in Early Childhood.
