About This Role
Based in Scottsdale, this support staff member opening at Temple Chai Early Childhood Center pays $18 – $19.50/Hr and requires a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, though it is preferred rather than required.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated teacher to join our Reggio Emilia-inspired Jewish preschool community. Our program is built on the principles of child-led learning, creativity, relationship-based teaching, and meaningful connections to Jewish values, traditions, and community.
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, reflective, and passionate about creating engaging, play-based learning experiences that foster social-emotional growth and exploration. Teachers work closely with children, families, and colleagues to create a supportive classroom environment that values individuality and inclusivity.
Candidates should have experience working with young children, strong communication skills, and a commitment to ongoing professional learning. Familiarity with the Reggio Emilia Approach and Jewish early childhood education is a plus.

What You'll Do
Job responsibilities include:
- Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through engaging activities and experiences.
- Design and implement a curriculum that meets the unique needs and interests of each child.
- Create a safe, healthy, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social, cognitive, and emotional growth.
- Maintain open and regular communication with parents through various channels.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a supportive team environment.
- Ensure compliance with Arizona State licensing guidelines.
- Be prepared to lift and carry children of varying ages.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
Requirements
- Must have graduated high school.
- Must be able to obtain Fingerprint Clearance Card by AZDPS.
- Must clear full background check.
- At least 6 months of prior early childhood education experience.
- Ability to work well with others (staff, children, parents) and foster a team environment in the classroom.
- Flexible and dependable when it comes to scheduling.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of child development and willingness to continue to learning.
Nice to Have
- AA, BA, or master's degree in early childhood or related field.
- Ability to work over the summer.
- Ability to work until close (5:30pm).
- Professional childcare experience.
