About This Role
Based in Lakeland, this support staff member opening at St. Paul UMC Preschool pays $12.50 – $13/Hr and requires the appropriate background.
We seek an Assistant Teacher to foster the academic, spiritual, emotional, mental, social, and physical growth of children in a Christian environment.
- Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- 19.5 hours per week
- We follow the Lakeland Community School Calendar

What You'll Do
- Establish a learning environment that encourages exploration and fosters creativity.
- Lead lessons when the Lead Teacher is absent.
- Develop engaging educational materials that cater to students' interests and abilities.
- Maintain a portfolio for each student.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times, both in and out of the classroom.
- Implement guidance policies and behavior modification plans as outlined by St Paul UMC Preschool.
- Communicate regularly with parents through daily interactions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports.
- Perform other tasks as assigned or required.
Requirements
- Must pass a background check.
- One year of experience is required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
