What You'll Do
- Establish and implement engaging, play-based curricula tailored to preschool-aged children’s unique needs.
- Support the emotional and social development of each child in a compassionate, respectful environment aligned with our mission.
- Create a stimulating, child-centered classroom environment that adapts to the diverse needs of each learner.
- Regularly observe, assess, and document children’s progress, sharing valuable insights with their families.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience and promote cross-functional success.
- Forge strong, positive relationships with families and community partners through effective, professional communication.
Requirements
- Valid Virginia Driver's License
- Willingness to drive a 14 passenger van/short bus
- Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate practice.
- Experience working with young children in an early childhood setting.
Nice to Have
- First aid/CPR certification.
- Experience with diverse learners.
- CDA, Associate’s, or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field.
