At Smart Start Academy, we're seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Before and After Care teacher to support our students aged 5-12 years, with the opportunity to extend your role into our summer camp program.

What You'll Do
- Design and implement engaging activities that spark curiosity and problem-solving skills in our students.
- Develop and lead age-appropriate lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Establish a safe and supportive classroom environment that promotes social, physical, and intellectual growth.
- Develop and execute lesson plans that set high standards for students across various curriculum areas.
- Foster problem-solving skills and critical thinking in our students.
- Create a well-organized and stimulating classroom setting.
- Oversee the safety and educational aspects of our programs.
- Monitor and supervise students during class and outdoor activities.
- Provide a supportive environment for children to learn and practice social skills.
- Maintain open communication with parents, encouraging their involvement and supporting family relationships.
- Adhere to policies and procedures set by the Office of Licensing and DCP&P.
Requirements
- HS diploma
- Minimum 1 year experience w/ school age children
Nice to Have
- CPR and First Aid Training
- CDA, Associates or BA Degree in Early Childhood Education
