What You'll Do
- Develop and implement engaging and developmentally appropriate educational curriculum to meet the diverse needs of children, while ensuring alignment with early learning standards.
- Serve as a model leader, inspiring the teaching team to succeed by coaching and mentoring them to achieve their goals.
- Create a range of activities that promote social, cognitive, and emotional growth, while maintaining a safe and healthy classroom environment.
- Maintain open and regular communication with parents through progress reports, informal discussions, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Ensure adherence to center policies and state regulations, promoting a culture of compliance and excellence.
- Establish a clean, safe, and secure classroom environment, upholding high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and physical safety.
- Direct and support teacher assistants and volunteers, ensuring they follow planned activities and adhere to established standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, files, and forms, while prioritizing organization and efficiency.
- Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills, stay current with industry trends, and foster continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
- Li>Li>Associate’s Degree in early childhood education or related field of study with a minimum of 30 Credits in ECE.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional child care experience.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
- Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
- High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
- Must include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
- A specific vision ability will be required including the ability to see up close and up to a certain distance, to see colors, have peripheral vision and depth perception.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
