Lead Toddler Room Teacher

What You'll Do

Develop and implement weekly lesson plans and goal plans

Send home daily activity forms to parents and maintain open communication

Organize daily learning centers and lead activities to promote cognitive development

Engage children in circle time through songs, stories, and interactive activities

Conduct assessments on children at least two times per year

Offer bi-annual parent conferences and provide written assessments to parents

Collaborate with the assistant teacher to plan enriching activities for the afternoon

Prepare and serve healthy snacks and meals, maintaining a clean and organized eating area

Create visually appealing bulletin boards to promote learning and engagement

Foster family involvement in school events and activities

Assist with toileting and diaper changing duties as needed

Participate in monthly staff meetings and attend state-mandated Continuing Education Courses annually

Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• Must have an enthusiastic, patient, kind, and creative attitude.
• Must have a strong desire to work in the Early Childhood Education field.
• Must be able to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues.
• Must be able to pass a CT background check.
• Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education/Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
• Experience in a similar childcare setting is highly preferred.

Nice to Have

First Aid/CPR Certification is a plus.

Administration of Medication and Epi Pen Certification is a desirable asset.
