What You'll Do
Main Responsibilities:
- Patrol the campus regularly to monitor activity, deter potential threats, and maintain a visible presence. This includes walking around the perimeter to ensure the school is secure and to identify any potential safety risks.
- Manage traffic flow effectively to prevent congestion and ensure the smooth operation of vehicular movement on school grounds.
- Control access to the building, ensuring that only authorized individuals are admitted while maintaining a welcoming and courteous demeanor towards parents and partners of the school.
- Develop and implement evacuation plans in collaboration with school safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring that everyone knows what to do in case of an emergency.
- Collaborate with staff to identify areas for improvement in security measures and enhance school safety practices.
- Maintain regular communication by sharing weekly updates and safety information with the Head of School, Operations Director, and other relevant members of the administration.
- Serve as a point of contact for any safety-related concerns and emergencies, responding promptly and effectively to ensure the well-being of all individuals on campus.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid armed training and/or Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training
- Christian reference from pastor, community, or spiritual leader
- First Aid, CPR, and AED certified.
- Previous experience in law enforcement, military, or security-related roles
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures and crisis management protocols to include deescalation techniques.
Shifts:
Full-Time: 7:15-4:15PM (Full Benefits)
Part-Time: 1:45 PM – 6:45 PM (No Benefits)
