Science Akadémeia is seeking a dynamic and passionate Lead Teacher to lead children through an engaging hands-on STEM learning environment. This is a permanent, year-round position with the opportunity to begin immediately during our exciting 10-week Summer STEM Camp, where each week brings a new adventure in science, technology, engineering, and math.
Position Overview
The Lead Teacher will create a nurturing, safe, and engaging learning environment where children can explore, experiment, and grow. This role requires a strong love for children, empathy, creativity, and a spirit of adventure. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker who loves learning new things and having fun while doing them. They thrive in a hands-on environment and are eager to lead meaningful STEM activities that spark curiosity and confidence.

What You'll Do
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging STEM activities, including themed summer camp experiences that spark curiosity and imagination
- Supervise and lead children in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment, fostering a sense of community and belonging
- Utilize hands-on learning to cultivate creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in students
- Build and maintain positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues, ensuring a strong team dynamic
- Modify activities to meet the unique needs and interests of all learners, promoting inclusivity and diversity
- Model kindness, patience, and enthusiasm, demonstrating a love of learning and a commitment to personal growth
- Collaborate with staff to create a cohesive and enriching program that runs year-round, offering opportunities for growth and development

Qualifications

- Prior teaching or childcare experience, with a proven track record of success and student growth
