What You'll Do
- Support our lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment by implementing lesson plans and activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Help maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment by assisting with classroom management.
- Engage with children through interactive play, storytelling, music, and hands-on learning experiences, making learning fun and interactive.
- Assist with daily routines, including mealtime, naptime, and transitions, to ensure a smooth and enjoyable day for all.
- Observe and document children’s progress, assisting with assessments as needed, to help identify areas of strength and growth.
- Provide one-on-one and small-group support to help meet individual learning needs and ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, making sure everything is in its place and ready for the next activity.
- Foster strong relationships with children, families, and staff by promoting open communication and collaboration, creating a sense of community and belonging.
Requirements
- Must meet all state licensing requirements, including fingerprint clearance and TB testing.
- Ability to work patiently, positively, and effectively with young children.
- High school diploma or GED required; early childhood education coursework is a plus.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience working with preschool-aged children in a childcare or educational setting preferred.
- CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
