This position reports to the Academy Director.

What You'll Do
- Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of our children.
- Lead by example, setting high standards for your own performance and fostering a positive, collaborative team environment.
- Create a nurturing, inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive growth in each child.
- Build strong relationships with parents through regular updates, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Ensure seamless day-to-day operations, adhering to center policies, state regulations, and safety standards.
- Maintain a spotless, safe, and organized classroom environment, adhering to strict hygiene and cleanliness standards.
- Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers to guarantee consistency in planned activities, hygiene, and safety protocols.
- Stay on top of administrative tasks, including accurate record-keeping and filing.
- Embrace lifelong learning, developing a personal professional growth plan to enhance your skills and expertise.
Requirements
- Able to sit on the floor, kneel, stand, and respond quickly to emergencies.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Associate’s degree in early childhood education or related field of study with a minimum of 30 Credits in ECE.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
- High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional childcare experience.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- A strong understanding of child development.
- Must clear a full background check and pass a health screening.
