The Teacher is accountable for leading a cohesive teaching team, managing curriculum implementation, and overseeing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom. With a deep understanding of children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development, the Teacher creates a secure and engaging classroom environment where children thrive. Effective communication with children and adults is crucial to ensuring children's needs are met, guiding teacher assistants, and resolving parental concerns.

What You'll Do
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that aligns with developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards, ensuring children are actively engaged and encouraged to grow socially, cognitively, and emotionally.
- Model excellence and motivate the teaching team through coaching and mentoring.
- Plan engaging activities for individual and group learning, promoting children's social, cognitive, and emotional growth.
- Establish open communication with parents through regular discussions, progress updates, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Ensure compliance with all center policies and state regulations.
- Maintain a healthy and safe classroom environment, adhering to hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards.
- Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers to guarantee adherence to planned activities, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Accurately maintain records, forms, and files.
- Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance teaching quality.
Requirements
- Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
- Associate's Degree in early childhood education or related field of study with a minimum of 30 Credits in ECE.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
- High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional child care experience.
- A strong understanding of child development.
- Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- A specific vision ability will be required including the ability to see up close and up to a certain distance, to see colors, have peripheral vision and depth perception.
