About This Role
Peace Child Care is hiring for a support staff member role in Baldwin. Compensation is $18 – $19/Hr. Candidates need completed early childhood education (ECE) college credits.
The Classroom Teacher plays a pivotal role in shaping the educational experience of young children, fostering a stimulating and safe environment that encourages growth and exploration. To succeed in this role, one must possess exceptional communication skills, a deep understanding of child development, and a passion for creating engaging lesson plans. As a leader, the Classroom Teacher is responsible for developing a cohesive team and managing the day-to-day operations of the classroom, ensuring that all policies and regulations are met.

What You'll Do
- Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with early learning standards and best practices, incorporating engaging activities that cater to the diverse needs of young learners.
- Mentor and guide the teaching team, modeling excellence and promoting a collaborative environment that encourages success.
- Design and execute age-appropriate activities that stimulate social, cognitive, and emotional growth, ensuring that each child feels supported and challenged.
- Maintain open and regular communication with parents, addressing their concerns and sharing progress updates in a timely and effective manner.
- Verify compliance with all center policies and state regulations, ensuring a seamless and secure learning environment.
- Establish and maintain a clean, safe, and healthy classroom atmosphere, prioritizing hygiene, safety, and security.
- Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers, ensuring they are following established protocols and adhering to high standards.
- Manage records, forms, and files with accuracy and attention to detail, upholding the highest level of professionalism.
- Continuously update and refine personal and professional development plans to drive quality improvement and excellence.
Requirements
- Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
- Minimum of 1 years of professional childcare experience.
- Strong understanding of child development.
- High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
