Early Childhood - infant room teacher

What You'll Do

• Plan and implement engaging age-appropriate activities to promote social, cognitive, and emotional growth in children.
• Lead by example, demonstrating best practices and supporting the teaching team to achieve success.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with parents through regular communication, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
• Ensure compliance with all center policies and state regulations.
• Maintain a healthy and safe classroom environment, adhering to hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards.
• Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers, ensuring they follow planned activities and adhere to safety standards.
• Accurately record and maintain files and forms.
• Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and improve quality of care.

Requirements

• Must have at least 1 year of professional child care experience.
• Exhibit strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer proficiency.
• Demonstrate high energy and ability to work effectively with staff, children, and parents to foster a collaborative environment.
• Possess a thorough understanding of child development principles.
• Hold Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification.
• Must clear a comprehensive background check and pass a health screening.
• Hold an Associate's Degree in early childhood education or a related field with a minimum of 30 credits in ECE.
• Capable of performing tasks that require frequent walking, using hands and fingers, handling objects, and talking to and hearing voices at various levels. May also involve kneeling, bending, squatting, or crawling.
• Meet specific vision requirements, including the ability to see up close and at a distance, perceive colors, and possess peripheral vision and depth perception.
• Exhibit exceptional leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
