Based in Cordova, this support staff member opening at Next Generation Preparatory School pays $50 – $65/Hr and requires the appropriate background.
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist who is dedicated to providing innovative, evidence-based services to autistic individuals. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to work in both educational and clinical settings, collaborating closely with educators, therapists, and families to create a supportive and inclusive environment.

What You'll Do
- Develop comprehensive assessment and treatment plans based on individual needs, incorporating research-driven best practices and a neurodiversity-affirming approach.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services, utilizing a range of communication modalities, including Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and gestalt language processing.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate communication goals into classroom environments, ensuring seamless transitions and supporting students' success.
- Supervise and mentor a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLP-A), fostering a culture of excellence and high-quality service delivery.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory and ethical standards, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
- Partner with families to provide education, support, and carryover strategies, empowering them to be active participants in their child's communication development.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to program development, driving innovation and growth within the organization.
- Support a range of communication modalities and adapt therapy to meet individual needs, ensuring that every student has access to effective and empowering services.
Requirements
- Active state licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working with autistic individuals and/or in pediatric settings
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Strong knowledge of current evidence-based practices
- Previous experience supervising SLP-As is a plus
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience with AAC and alternative communication methods is highly preferred
