What You'll Do
- Develop engaging activities that align with early learning standards and adapt to children's developmental stages.
- Foster a collaborative team environment by modeling and coaching teaching staff.
- Plan activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive growth in children, encouraging active participation and exploration.
- Maintain open lines of communication with parents through regular discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Ensure compliance with center policies and state regulations.
- Establish a healthy classroom environment by maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards.
- Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers, ensuring they follow planned activities and adhere to safety and hygiene standards.
- Accurately maintain records, forms, and files.
- Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and improve program quality.
Requirements
- Basic computer skills and effective written and oral communication skills.
- A high level of energy and the ability to collaborate with staff, children, and parents to foster a positive team environment.
- A deep understanding of child development principles.
- Able to obtain Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification.
- Able to pass a comprehensive background check.
- Regularly stand, walk, use hands, fingers, and tools, talk and hear; occasional kneeling, bending, squatting, and crawling may also be required.
- Visual acuity, including the ability to see up close, at a distance, perceive colors, and have peripheral vision and depth perception.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
