What You'll Do
- Develop and implement educational curriculum that aligns with developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards, and leads to engaging and enriching experiences for children.
- Mentor and guide teaching team members to support their professional growth and promote a culture of excellence.
- Create and implement individualized and group activities that cater to diverse learning needs and promote social, cognitive, and emotional development.
- Establish open lines of communication with parents through regular updates, progress reports, and conferences to ensure mutual understanding and cooperation.
- Ensure compliance with center policies and state regulations to maintain a safe and supportive environment.
- Contribute to a healthy and positive classroom atmosphere by promoting hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards.
- Serve as a role model and provide guidance to teacher assistants and volunteers to ensure they adhere to established protocols and guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, forms, and files to support administrative needs.
- Pursue ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices and advance teaching skills.
Requirements
- Basic computer skills and strong written and oral communication skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively and maintain high energy levels in a fast-paced environment.
- A deep understanding of child development and growth patterns.
- Current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification (obtained prior to hire).
- Must undergo a thorough background check prior to employment.
- May require standing, walking, and frequent physical activity, as well as the ability to use hands, fingers, and tools to accomplish tasks.
- Must possess good visual acuity, including near vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.
