The Teacher Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the Teachers and the Director in creating a nurturing environment for children, while also assisting in educational activities that promote quality care and education. Collaborating effectively with the staff, the Teacher Assistant establishes strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. By observing and documenting children's interests and progress, the Teacher Assistant facilitates open communication with parents and staff, ensuring a smooth transition from home to the child care center. The Teacher Assistant is responsible for implementing developmentally appropriate activities that cater to children's interests and needs under the guidance of the Teacher and the Director.

What You'll Do
- Support the implementation of curricula activities and foster a positive learning environment by encouraging children's participation.
- Take an active role in activities and ensure the classroom is well-organized, clean, and equipped with necessary materials.
- Maintain regular communication with parents through informal discussions and progress reports to keep them informed of their child's development.
- Model good hygiene and self-help skills to encourage children to develop these essential habits.
- Help facilitate a seamless transition from home to the child care center by ensuring a smooth daily routine.
- Adhere to all center policies and state regulations to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and contribute to the center's continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
- Completed at least 1-2 years of professional child care experience.
- Nevada Registration Member.
- Completed Childcare Licensing Training classes.
- Passed TB test.
- Received a Letter of recommendation from prior Licensed Child Care employment.
- Must be able to pass Child Licensing Background Check.
- Demonstrates high energy levels.
- Able to work well with others.
- Exhibits strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
- Has an understanding of child development.
- Demonstrates excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Possesses Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
- Must clear full background check and pass health screening.
