We're looking for a caring and reliable individual who loves working with children to join our team as a Child Care Assistant.
In this role, you'll work closely with the Lead Teacher to maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment for infants and young children.

What You'll Do
- Ensure a safe and healthy environment for children by maintaining a clean and organized childcare space, including the classroom, kitchen, dining area, and bathroom.
- Prepare and serve meals to children, following established meal plans and food safety guidelines.
- Supervise children at all times, including during nap time and outdoor play, to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Support, lead, or continue with lesson plans designed by the Lead Teacher to promote learning and development in infants and young children.
- Assist with daily routines, such as diaper changing, bottle-feeding, and monitoring children's health and hygiene.
- Maintain accurate records of children's daily activities, meals, and sleep patterns.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure seamless transitions and provide regular updates on their child's progress.
Requirements
All candidates must meet the following requirements:
- CPR and First Aid Training Certificate
- Health Assessment Form (OCC 1204)
- Background Check: This requires a fingerprint process. Please provide the following code to the biometric services office and specify that the check is for childcare services: Office of Childcare Code: 1100000053.
- Release of Information Form (OCC1260): This document must be notarized.
- SIDS and SUIDS Training Certificate
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the day to assist with children and supplies
Benefits
Paid Training
The employer will provide comprehensive, hands-on paid training for four weeks at a rate of $16.00 per hour. The goal of this training is to help you become familiar with your responsibilities and the culture of Meli's Munchkins Bilingual Learning Center.
