Early Childhood- Food Service Coordinator

Based in Hillsborough, this support staff member opening at Master's Garden Preschool/ Ebenezer Baptist Church pays $13 – $19/Hr and requires no formal early childhood credentials to start.
We're seeking a Food Service Coordinator/Cook to help Master's Garden Preschool thrive. What You'll Do
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To prepare, handle, and distribute food for the preschool, adhering to our vision and values.
- To design and implement varied, nutritious menus that cater to our diverse community.
- To procure and store food items efficiently, respecting our budgetary constraints.
- To maintain a sanitary and safe environment in the food preparation area.
OTHER DUTIES AND TASKS:
- To recognize the vital role of parents in their child's education and support them in their responsibilities.
- To demonstrate a commitment to Christ and His teachings in all interactions with families and staff.
- To employ quality food production techniques to create appealing, nutritious dishes.
- To adhere to standardized recipes and schedules to promote healthy eating habits.
- To uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety, as dictated by Orange County Health and North Carolina regulations.
- To safeguard confidential information regarding our children at all times.
- To participate in staff meetings and training sessions as requested.
- To maintain organized storage areas to ensure efficiency.
- To monitor inventory levels and order supplies in a timely, cost-effective manner.
- To be flexible and adapt to the working practices of the preschool.
- To provide support to other areas of the preschool as needed, at the discretion of the preschool director.
- To administer first aid to children according to established procedures.
- To create weekly menus that align with our nutrition guidelines.
- To perform job duties in a productive, efficient manner.
- To arrive on time and maintain our established work schedule.
Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic math skills for measuring and portioning food items.
- Clear a full background check and pass the required health screening.
Nice to Have
- CPR/First Aid certification would be a valuable asset.
- Possession of Sanitation credentials is a plus.
- Experience in food service, preferably in child care or an institutional setting, is desirable, but training is available for the right candidate.
