We're seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time assistant preschool teacher to join our team at Master's Garden Preschool in Hillsborough. As a committed Christian, you will support our lead teachers and director in creating a nurturing environment for young children. Your responsibilities will include assisting with classroom activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children, and enhancing the learning program. We're looking for someone with a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR/First Aid certification, and preferably early childhood credentials. Strong knowledge of early childhood development, safety practices, and effective communication skills are essential. Flexibility, teamwork, and discretion are highly valued. We offer a competitive salary range of $13.50-18.00 depending on education and experience. Additionally, employees receive a 50% tuition discount for their preschooler, and we do not provide insurance or retirement benefits.

What You'll Do
- Assist the lead teacher in daily classroom activities and ensure a stimulating and varied program of play and learning opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with the lead teacher and director to maintain a safe and well-organized learning environment.
- Provide high-quality care and support to young children, including maintaining confidentiality and respecting parents' roles in their child's education.
- Assume a key worker role with specific children and develop strong relationships with them and their families.
- Act as a positive role model, demonstrating a commitment to Christ and promoting open and equal opportunities for children and adults.
- Support the lead teacher in planning and implementing curriculum, policy, and record-keeping as needed.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and participate in team-building activities to foster a positive and supportive work environment.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and learning opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Possess interpersonal skills, using tact, patience, and courtesy.
- Exhibit effective communication skills.
- Maintain discretion and absolute confidentiality.
- Model appropriate and respectful behavior toward children, families, and co-workers at all times.
- Ability and desire to work in a team-oriented environment in a supportive, transparent, and solution-driven fashion.
- Be a follower of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, seeking to live all of life under the Lordship of Jesus.
- Understanding of safety and sanitation practices for the classroom.
- Knowledge of general principles of early childhood development.
