About This Role
Love Bugs Learning Care is hiring for a support staff member role in Nashville. Compensation is $13 – $15/Hr. Candidates need the appropriate background.
We are looking for passionate and skilled Daycare Teachers to join our team who are committed to delivering high-quality education and care to young children. To be successful in this role, you will need to be enthusiastic, have excellent communication skills, and be able to create a fun and engaging learning environment that meets the diverse needs of our children.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the classroom and ensuring that our curriculum is delivered to a high standard. You will need to be skilled in communicating effectively with children, parents, and colleagues, and be able to manage the day-to-day operations of the classroom.

What You'll Do
- Develop and implement engaging and interactive lesson plans that cater to the individual needs of our children and promote their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a sense of belonging among our children, their families, and staff.
- Engage children in a range of activities that promote their learning and development, and provide opportunities for them to explore, discover, and create.
- Build strong relationships with parents and keep them informed about their child's progress and experiences.
- Ensure that our center's policies and procedures are upheld, and that we meet all relevant state and regulatory requirements.
- Nurture positive relationships with our children, their families, and our staff, and contribute to a team environment that values collaboration and mutual respect.
- Ensure that our classroom is well-maintained, clean, and organized, and that our children's needs are met at all times.
- Keep accurate records, files, and documentation, and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in early childhood education and care.
- Pursue ongoing professional development to stay ahead of best practice and ensure that our children receive the highest quality care and education.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in childcare or with young children (preferred).
- Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
- High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
- A strong understanding of child development.
- Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- A specific vision ability will be required including the ability to see up close and up to a certain distance, to see colors, have peripheral vision and depth perception.
