The Teacher oversees the development of a cohesive teaching team, orchestrates the curriculum, and manages daily classroom operations. Effective communication with children and adults is essential for meeting child needs, guiding teacher assistants, and resolving parental concerns.

What You'll Do
- Implement and coordinate educational curriculum through developmentally appropriate classroom activities based on early learning standards.
- Model success and motivate the teaching team through coaching and example.
- Design and lead age-appropriate activities to engage children and promote social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
- Maintain regular communication with parents through discussions, progress reports, and conferences.
- Ensure compliance with center policies and state regulations.
- Establish a healthy classroom environment by adhering to hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards.
- Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers to ensure adherence to planned activities and safety protocols.
- Pursue ongoing professional development to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
- A strong understanding of child development.
- Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
- High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
- Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- A specific vision ability will be required including the ability to see up close and up to a certain distance, to see colors, have peripheral vision and depth perception.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification (optional).
