Two Year Old Classroom - Lead Teacher

Living Christ Preschool is hiring for a support staff member role in Madison. Compensation is $18 – $21/Hr. Candidates need completed early childhood education (ECE) college credits.
We are seeking a Lead Teacher to join our faith-based child care center! This individual will plan and present age appropriate activities for children along with co-teachers in a two year old classroom.
Living Christ Preschool is a ministry of Lutheran Church of the Living Christ (LCMS). We provide high quality care for children ages 6 weeks-5 years old while nurturing each child's faith in Jesus.

What You'll Do
Responsibilities:
- Work with co-teachers in our two year old classroom.
- Instruct children in developmentally appropriate activities.
- Present Bible stories to children using our curriculum.
- Create a fun and safe learning environment
- Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
- Maintain the health and safety of all students
Candidates should be comfortable working with children ranging from infants-4 years old, but would primarily work with three and four year olds. If you love little children and want to help them learn and grow, this is a great job for you. We have great families and a wonderful staff to work with. Hourly pay rate is based on education and experience.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields preferred.
- Lead qualified for early childhood in the state of Wisconsin
- Infant/Toddler Certified preferred
- Registry Level 12 preferred
- Passionate about working with children
- Ability to build rapport with children
- Positive and patient demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Associates Degree or higher preferred, but not required
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent required
