Little Volunteer Child Care - Karns, LLC is hiring for a support staff member role in Knoxville. Compensation is $12 – $16/Hr. Candidates need the appropriate background.

Collaborating with teachers and directors, the Teacher Assistant contributes to a nurturing environment that fosters curiosity and creativity. By implementing engaging activities and fostering positive relationships, the Teacher Assistant plays a vital role in the childcare center's mission.

What You'll Do
- Engage children in a variety of activities and ensure they participate fully in curricula activities.
- Manage the cleanliness, maintenance, and organization of classroom materials, ensuring they are always available and up-to-date.
- Establish and maintain regular communication with parents through informal discussions and written progress reports.
- Model good behavior and hygiene practices to promote self-help skills in children.
- Facilitate a smooth transition from home to child care center each day.
- Adhere to all center policies and state regulations at all times.
- Develop and maintain a personal professional development plan to enhance skills and knowledge continuously.
Requirements
- Must pass a full background check and a health screening.
- Willingness to obtain Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
- An understanding of child development is essential.
- Ability to work well with others and lead by example.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, along with basic computer skills, are necessary.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional child care experience.
- High energy is a must.
Nice to Have
Certification in Early Childhood Development or related field is a plus.
Possession of an Early Childhood Technical Certificate is an asset.
