As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the Lead Educator and Director to develop and implement engaging activities that foster the children's growth and development. What You'll Do
- Maintain open lines of communication with parents through regular progress reports and informal discussions, ensuring that they are informed and involved in their child's care and education.
- Actively engage in activities with the children, ensuring their participation and encouraging a love of learning.
- Develop and maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment, ensuring that all materials are readily available and in good condition.
- Help children develop self-help skills and good hygiene practices by modeling positive behaviors and encouraging them to take responsibility for their own care.
- Ensure a smooth transition for children from home to the child care center, making them feel welcome and secure.
- Follow all center policies and state regulations, and maintain accurate records as required.
- Develop and maintain a personal professional development plan, focusing on continuous quality improvement and staying up-to-date with best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements
- Must pass a full background check.
- Must be willing to earn a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it.
- Ability to work well with others.
- High energy.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
- Strong understanding of child development.
- Must clear health screening.
