Lead Infant Teacher/Teacher Associate
About This Role
Based in Woodstock, this support staff member opening at Little Branches Learning Center pays $26 – $35/Hr and requires completed early childhood education (ECE) college credits.
We are a faith-based early education center in Woodstock, VT, committed to excellence in early childhood education, rooted in Christian values. We're seeking a highly motivated, full-time Teacher or Teacher Associate to lead our young infant class. As a Teacher or Teacher Associate, you will help create a caring and safe environment, engage children in learning, and demonstrate love, kindness, and patience. Your daily interactions will have a lasting impact on our little ones. Our schedule is Monday through Friday, ranging from 8am to 5pm, with flexibility for start times. This is a 30-40 hour per week position.

What You'll Do
- Immerse yourself in a variety of physical activities, including walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting, as you provide exceptional care to our children.
- Develop and implement a high-quality, faith-informed educational program that sets our young minds ablaze with curiosity and wonder.
- Nurture positive relationships with families, children, and staff by being a shining example of love, kindness, and patience.
- Bring activities to life by implementing developmentally appropriate learning experiences based on approved curriculum and assessments.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of our children by supervising activities with utmost care.
- Keep our classrooms tidy and organized, a testament to your attention to detail and dedication to excellence.
- Stay connected with your team through regular staff meetings and in-service workshops.
- Commit to ongoing professional growth by completing at least 15 hours of approved professional development annually.
Requirements
Teacher:
- Have one of the following:
- At least a Vermont Early Childhood Ladder Career Ladder Level Four, A or B certificate
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college with a major or concentration in Early Childhood, Child or Human Development, Elementary Education, Special Education, or Child and Family Services; and at least 12 months experience working with children from grade 3 or younger
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college with at least 30 college credits in early childhood or school age and at least 12 months experience with children from grade 3 or younger
- Hold at least a current Vermont Agency of Education teaching license with an endorsement in Early Childhood, Early Childhood Special Education, or Elementary Education
- Clear background check and fingerprinting through the Child Development Division
- Complete Vermont Orientation training online prior to being left alone with children
- Complete Vermont Mandated Reporter training for child abuse and neglect
- Obtain certification in pediatric first aid and infant/child CPR within 6 months of date of hire
- Be able to lift 35 pounds or more
- Be able to move equipment or furniture for classroom activities and routine cleaning
Teacher Associate:
- Be a high school graduate or have completed a GED
- Have one of the following:
- At least a Vermont Early Childhood Career Ladder Level Three Certificate
- At least an associate degree from an accredited college with a major or concentration in Early Childhood, Child or Human Development, Elementary Education, Special Education, or Child and Family Services; and at least 12 months experience working with children from grade 3 or younger
- At least a Certificate of Completion from the Registered Child Care Apprenticeship Program
- At least a Child Care Certificate from the Community College of Vermont and at least 12 months experience working with children from grade 3 or younger
- At least successful completion of 21 college credits with an early childhood or school age focus and at least 12 months experience working with children from grade 3 or younger
- Clear background check and fingerprinting through the Child Development Division

Nice to Have
