The Teacher is accountable for fostering a cohesive teaching team, overseeing the curriculum, and handling the daily operational tasks of the classroom. Effective teachers need to grasp how children develop cognitively, socially, emotionally, and physically to create a secure and engaging environment that encourages kids to succeed. A skilled Teacher must be able to communicate effectively with both children and adults, address the needs of the children, guide teacher assistants, and resolve parental concerns.

What You'll Do
- Plan and implement educational curriculum by developing age-appropriate classroom activities based on early learning standards and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Set a positive example, supporting teaching team success through mentoring and guidance.
- Develop individual and group activities tailored to children's ages, designed to promote social, cognitive, and emotional growth.
- Maintain regular communication with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Ensure compliance with all center policies and state regulations.
- Promote a healthy classroom environment, maintaining hygiene and cleanliness standards and ensuring children's safety and security.
- Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to guarantee they follow planned activities, hygiene, and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records, forms, and files.
- Establish a personal professional development plan to continuously improve teaching quality.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional child care experience.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and fundamental computer proficiency.
- A high level of energy and the capacity to collaborate effectively with others (staff, children, and parents) and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Thorough understanding of child development.
- Current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification.
- Able to pass a comprehensive background check and health screening.
- Bachelor's Degree in early childhood education or a related field, with a minimum of 30 Credits in ECE.
- The ability to undertake frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools, or controls, converse, and hear voices at various volumes may be necessary. Additionally, the position may require kneeling, bending, squatting, or crawling.
- Specific vision abilities are required, including the capacity to see objects clearly at close range and at a distance, perceive colors, possess peripheral vision, and have depth perception.
- Outstanding leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
