About This Role
This support staff member position at Kids R Kids Landstar in Orlando offers $15 – $16/Hr. The role requires a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, though it is preferred rather than required.
The Teacher is responsible for driving a cohesive teaching team, managing curriculum development, and overseeing daily classroom operations. To create an engaging and stimulating environment, Teachers need to be aware of children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth. Effective communication with children and adults is crucial to meet children's needs, guide teacher assistants, and resolve parental concerns.

What You'll Do
- Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum by creating classroom activities aligned with developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
- Lead by example, supporting the teaching team's success through modeling and coaching.
- Design age-appropriate activities to promote children's social, cognitive, and emotional growth, ensuring their active engagement.
- Establish regular communication with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Ensure compliance with all center policies and state regulations.
- Maintain a healthy and safe classroom environment, adhering to hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards.
- Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers, ensuring they follow planned activities, safety, and hygiene guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records, forms, and files.
- Pursue continuous professional development to enhance teaching quality.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of professional child care experience.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
- Ability to work at a high energy level and effectively collaborate with others (staff, children, and parents), fostering a team environment.
- A strong understanding of child development.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
- Clear full background check and pass health screening.
- Associate's Degree in early childhood education or a related field with a minimum of 30 credits in ECE.
- Ability to perform tasks that require frequent walking, using hands and fingers, handling objects, tools or controls, talking and hearing voices at various levels. May also require kneeling, bending, squatting, or crawling.
- Specific vision ability, including seeing up close and at a distance, seeing colors, having peripheral vision, and depth perception.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
