About This Role
This support staff member position at Kids R Kids Landstar in Orlando offers $12 – $16/Hr. The role requires a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, though it is preferred rather than required.
The ideal candidate for this position will support our teaching staff and director in creating a nurturing environment for children, promoting high-quality education and care. Our Teacher Assistant will observe, document, and share children's progress with parents and staff, implementing activities that meet their developmental needs and interests. Under the direction of our Teacher and Director, this team member will take on various responsibilities to ensure a positive and productive experience for everyone.

What You'll Do
- Manage cleanliness, maintenance, and availability of classroom materials and actively engage in activities.
- Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling and ensure smooth, daily transition from home to child care center.
- Assist in the implementation of curricula activities and encourage participation by children, following all center policies and state regulations.
- Encourage frequent communications with parents through informal discussions and progress reports.
- Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.

Requirements
- Must pass health screening and clear full background check.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- An understanding of child development.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
- Ability to work well with others.
- High energy.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional child care experience.
