Kids N' Care is hiring for a support staff member role in Greenfield. Compensation is $15 – $17/Hr. Candidates need the appropriate background.
The role of the Teacher is to oversee the classroom environment, leading a cohesive teaching team and developing curriculum that meets the unique needs of each child. With a strong understanding of child development, the Teacher must create a safe and stimulating space where children can engage, learn, and thrive. Effective communication is key to this role, requiring the ability to connect with children, adults, and families, while also fostering a team-oriented atmosphere.

What You'll Do
- Plan and implement activities that align with developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards, fostering a positive and engaging classroom environment.
- Maintain open and regular communication with parents, keeping them informed about their child's progress through regular updates, conferences, and progress reports.
- Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers, ensuring they adhere to planned activities, hygiene, and safety standards, while also modeling and coaching the team for success.
- Ensure the classroom meets all necessary policies, regulations, and standards, maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment for all.
- Develop and implement individual and group activities that cater to the unique needs and abilities of each child, promoting social, cognitive, and emotional growth.
- Coordinate with the teaching team to achieve common goals, while also maintaining accurate records and forms.
- Establish and maintain a professional development plan, committed to continuous quality improvement and staying up-to-date with best practices in early childhood education.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities, encouraging social interaction, creativity, and self-expression, while also ensuring a smooth daily operation.
Requirements
- Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
- High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
- A strong understanding of child development.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
- Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl and lift at least 50 pounds.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- A specific vision ability will be required including the ability to see up close and up to a certain distance, to see colors, have peripheral vision and depth perception.
- Completed licensed group childcare education
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
Nice to Have
- Minimum of 2 years of professional child care experience.
- Associate’s Degree in early childhood education or related field of study with a minimum of 30 Credits in ECE.
