What You'll Do
- Offer children a range of materials and resources to explore, engage with, and learn from, both in structured activities and imaginative play.
- Tend to the fundamental needs of children, including feeding, dressing, and changing diapers.
- Teach foundational skills, such as recognizing colors, shapes, numbers, and letters, as well as personal hygiene and social skills.
- Establish and enforce guidelines for behavior and procedures for maintaining order in the classroom.
- Read books to entire classes or small groups, engaging them in storytelling and literature.
- Design and lead activities that foster physical, mental, and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, and field trips.
- Monitor and assess children's performance, behavior, social development, and physical health to inform teaching and support needs.
- Identify children showing signs of emotional, developmental, or health-related challenges and discuss them with supervisors, parents, and child development specialists.
- Maintain open communication with parents and guardians about their children's progress, needs, and priorities, offering suggestions to support learning and development.
