About This Role
HoneyTree Early Learning Center is hiring for a support staff member role in Roanoke. Compensation is $40,000 – $55,000/Yr. Candidates need the appropriate background.
The Center Director is accountable for operational management of the center, ensuring the health, safety, and quality of education for children in our care. Our ideal candidate will possess a strong vision for quality and education, coupled with exceptional leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills. We are seeking a dedicated professional who will drive the success of the center through effective management of curriculum development, staff, and facilities, while upholding the center's mission and goals.

What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain a clear vision for quality that aligns with state and local regulations, and drive adherence to established standards.
- Collaborate with staff to create engaging educational experiences, develop curriculum, and maintain adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records in accordance with established procedures.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with parents through regular communication, community outreach, and implementation of community relations strategies.
- Oversee all food-related activities, including menu approval and food purchases.
- Establish and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
- Provide oversight of all office functions, including payroll, accounts payable, tuition billing, human resources, and purchasing.
- Maintain a fair and respectful environment by resolving conflicts and taking corrective action when necessary.
- Develop and manage budgets, ensuring the center's financial health and stability.
- Develop and implement procedures for illness and emergency situations, ensuring staff is adequately trained.
- Drive strategic planning and goal-setting, ensuring alignment with the center's mission and objectives.
- Develop a personal professional development plan to enhance quality and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
- A strong understanding of child development.
- Must clear full background check.
- Strong oral and written communications skills; technology skills.
- Strong finance and budgeting skills.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- High energy.
Nice to Have
- We welcome candidates with Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification.
- A degree in early childhood education or a related field with a minimum of 30 credits in ECE is highly valued.
