About This Role
Grow Your Mind Academy, Spring Hill is hiring for a support staff member role in Lewisburg. Compensation is $13 – $15/Hr. Candidates need completed early childhood education (ECE) college credits.
The teacher will play a pivotal role in ensuring a safe and engaging classroom environment, fostering social, emotional, and cognitive development in children. This involves coordinating curriculum, managing daily operational activities, and developing a cohesive teaching team. To achieve this, teachers must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively guide teacher assistants and address parental concerns. Additionally, they must be physically able to perform daily tasks, including lifting and working on the floor, while navigating the facility to meet the needs of the business.
What You'll Do
- Plan and implement educational curriculum by designing age-appropriate activities that cater to children's social, cognitive, and emotional growth.
- Embody leadership and mentorship, promoting a collaborative environment among the teaching team through modeling and coaching.
- Forge strong relationships with parents through regular updates, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences, maintaining open and effective communication channels.
- Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to quality education and ensuring all center policies and state regulations are upheld.
- Strive to create a healthy and secure classroom environment, adhering to strict hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards.
- Supervise and support teacher assistants and volunteers, ensuring they adhere to planned activities and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, forms, and files, reflecting ongoing efforts to enhance teaching practices.
- Pursue ongoing professional development, aligning personal goals with the pursuit of continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
- Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
- Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
- A strong understanding of child development.
- High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional child care experience.
