What You'll Do
- Assist in the implementation of curriculum activities and encourage participation by children.
- Actively engage in daily classroom activities; manage cleanliness, maintenance, and availability of materials.
- Maintain open and frequent communication with parents through informal discussions and progress reports.
- Model and encourage self-help skills and good hygiene habits.
- Support smooth daily transitions from home to the childcare center.
- Follow all center policies and state childcare regulations.
- Maintain a personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Of good character and reputation
- Passionate about working with children
- Ability to build positive rapport with children, parents, and coworkers
- Positive, patient, and energetic demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum 3 months of professional childcare experience
- Understanding of child development
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Must pass a full background check and health screening
