What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Engage with children across various age groups and developmental stages, providing support and assistance as needed. Adapt to different classroom environments and teaching styles, working collaboratively with lead teachers and supporting daily activities.
  2. Partner with lead teachers to design and implement engaging, play-based curriculum activities that promote learning and engagement. Provide individualized attention and support to children who require additional assistance or encouragement.
  3. Maintain a positive and organized classroom environment, promoting positive social interactions and a sense of community among children. Assist lead teachers with classroom management, transitions, and behavior support.
  4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with parents and caregivers through open communication. Provide regular updates on children's progress and experiences, responding promptly to parent inquiries and concerns.
  5. Take advantage of opportunities for professional development and learning, staying current on best practices in early childhood education and child development research.
  6. Foster a sense of teamwork and collaboration among staff members, sharing insights and strategies to enhance teaching practices and promote positive outcomes for children.
  7. Assist with circle time, small group activities, outdoor play, and transitions, ensuring a stimulating and enriching educational experience for all children.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Ability to meet state licensing requirements for childcare providers.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
  • Previous experience working in a childcare setting, with exposure to multiple age groups and classroom environments.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and support diverse teaching teams.
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field preferred.
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and a willingness to embrace new challenges and experiences.
