The Teacher is responsible for leading a cohesive teaching team, overseeing curriculum development, and managing the daily operational activities of the classroom. To create a stimulating and safe environment, Teachers must be aware of children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development, actively engaging children and encouraging them to succeed. Effective communication with both children and adults is essential to meet children's needs, guide teacher assistants, and resolve parental concerns.

What You'll Do
- Develop and implement educational curriculum by creating age-appropriate classroom activities based on early learning standards and developmentally sound practices.
- Support teaching team success by modeling and coaching, leading by example.
- Plan and lead individual and group activities to promote social, cognitive, and emotional growth in children.
- Maintain regular communication with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Ensure compliance with center policies and state regulations.
- Establish and maintain a healthy classroom environment, adhering to hygiene and cleanliness standards and ensuring children's safety and security.
- Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers to ensure they follow planned activities, hygiene, and safety standards.
- Accurately maintain records, forms, and files.
- Develop and adhere to a personal professional development plan to continually improve quality.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional child care experience are required.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as basic computer skills, are necessary.
- High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and foster a collaborative environment are essential.
- A strong understanding of child development is vital.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification is required.
- A full background check and passing health screening are mandatory.
- An Associate's Degree in early childhood education or a related field of study with a minimum of 30 credits in ECE is required.
- The ability to frequently walk, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools, or controls, talk to and hear voices at various levels is necessary. May also require kneeling, bending, squatting, or crawling.
- A specific vision ability is required, including the ability to see up close and up to a certain distance, to see colors, have peripheral vision, and depth perception.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.
