About This Role

This support staff member position at First Presbyterian Church Preschool in Gallatin offers $15 – $18/Hr. The role requires a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, though it is preferred rather than required.


We are in need of a lead teacher for our PreK-1 class. The teacher will help prepare students for Kindergarten by creating and implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans. She will need to supervise children while also leading small groups and learning activities with the help of their assistant teacher.

What You'll Do

Requirements

  • Able to work Monday-Friday on an alternating schedule of an eight hour shift between 6:30-5:30
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Pass a background check
  • Pass a drug test
  • A heart for teaching and making a difference in children's lives.
  • Flexible.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.

Nice to Have

  • Have or working towards a CDA or above
  • Familiarity with ProCare
  • An understanding of child development.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • High energy
