What You'll Do

What You’ll Do (aka where the magic happens):

  • Create engaging, age-appropriate experiences that spark curiosity, encourage creativity, and support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Build strong relationships with families through daily conversations, progress updates, and conferences.
  • Lead your classroom with confidence and positivity, modeling excellence and supporting your team.
  • Keep your classroom running smoothly by following all licensing standards and center policies with professionalism and care.
  • Create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment where children feel secure, supported, and ready to learn every day.
  • Guide and support assistant teachers and volunteers, helping them grow while ensuring your classroom runs as a strong, unified team.
  • Plan exciting activities that bring learning to life and help children grow and develop.

Requirements

What You Bring to the Team:

  • The ability to successfully complete all required background checks and health screenings.
  • Strong awareness and attention to your surroundings, including the ability to supervise children closely and safely at all times.
  • A love for teamwork—you enjoy collaborating, supporting others, and being part of something bigger than yourself.
  • Leadership, organization, and people skills that help you confidently guide a classroom and contribute to a strong, positive team environment.
  • A positive, go-with-the-flow attitude—you bring good energy even on busy days.
  • A solid understanding of child development—you meet children where they are and help them grow with intention and care.
  • Current (or willingness to obtain) Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification—because safety always comes first.
  • A naturally high-energy, team-oriented mindset—you thrive working alongside others and help create a positive, supportive culture for staff, children, and families.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and comfort with basic technology—you connect well with families, coworkers, and leadership.
  • A willingness to stay active throughout the day—this role includes walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, and engaging fully with children at their level.

  • Creativity, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for working with children—you bring the fun and the heart every single day.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on childcare experience—you’ve been in the classroom and know how to create a positive, engaging environment for young children.
  • A passion for creating fun, engaging learning environments that go beyond the basics.
  • Experience building strong relationships with families and creating a welcoming, community-focused classroom.
  • Previous experience working with infants and toddlers—you understand the unique care, patience, and joy this age group brings.
  • Experience leading a classroom or mentoring assistant teachers—you’re comfortable stepping into a leadership role.
  • CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Familiarity with lesson planning, developmental assessments, and early learning standards.
