Empower Learn Create is hiring for a support staff member role in Cin. Compensation is $16.50 – $22.88/Hr. Candidates need an active Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Teacher to join our team at Empower Learn Create at UC. As the Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a stimulating and nurturing learning environment for our infant children, where they can explore, create, and grow. Our commitment to teaching with a social emotional lens and our beautiful natural play space and innovative art studio will support your role in fostering the next generation of curious and creative thinkers. Our center is open from 8-5 Monday through Friday, and we are looking for someone who can bring their expertise and enthusiasm to our team.
What You'll Do
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement engaging and age-appropriate activities and curriculum that cater to the developmental needs of infant children, grounded in constructivist principles.
- Design and maintain a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment that sparks curiosity, exploration, and critical thinking in our young learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and execute cohesive learning experiences that align with our center's educational philosophy and goals.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing personalized support and guidance as needed to ensure each child reaches their full potential.
- Cultivate strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues, maintaining open communication and partnerships to support children's learning and development.
- Keep accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and other relevant documentation as required by regulatory standards.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Proven experience working with infant-age children in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of constructivist teaching approaches and their application in early childhood education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
- Understanding of child development principles and effective practices in early childhood education.
- Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement in teaching practices.
Nice to Have
Preferred:
- Masters, Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Previous experience with curriculum planning and lesson design.
- Familiarity with state licensing regulations and early learning standards.
- Creative and innovative mindset, with a passion for inspiring young learners.
