What You'll Do
Main Responsibilities:
- Partner with our lead teacher to craft engaging and age-appropriate curriculum, ensuring a holistic approach to learning and development.
- Design and execute a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that sparks curiosity and fosters critical thinking.
- Collaborate with our team to develop and implement learning experiences that align with our center's educational philosophy and goals.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing tailored support and guidance as needed to ensure they reach their full potential.
- Nurture positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, maintaining open communication and partnerships to support learning and growth.
- Accurately document children's progress, attendance, and other essential information, adhering to regulatory standards.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
- A minimum of a high school diploma and a commitment to continuing education through a scholarship-based opportunity to earn a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or higher in Early Childhood Education
- Proven experience working with toddler-age children in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of constructivist teaching approaches and their application in early childhood education, or a growth mindset to learn and adapt to this approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
- Understanding of child development principles and effective practices in early childhood education.
- Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement in teaching practices.
Nice to Have
A Plus:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field would be a valuable asset.
- Experience with curriculum planning and lesson design will make you a standout candidate.
- Familiarity with state licensing regulations and early learning standards is a bonus.
