We're seeking a Lead One-Year-Old Teacher to join our experienced team of early childhood professionals at the Nestlé Purina Child Development Center, a NAEYC-accredited early childhood center located in downtown St. Louis. Our center offers a unique work environment with amenities such as walking trails, a Starbucks, and a full-service cafeteria, as well as other benefits of working at this Center.
As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to design lesson plans based on Project Construct in a play-based curriculum, while building relationships with children and families. You will also contribute to a safe and supportive environment that fosters happiness and active learning in young children. We're looking for a nurturing and experienced teacher who brings energy and creativity to work every day to help make a difference in a young child's life.

What You'll Do
We're looking for a Lead One-Year-Old Teacher who can effectively work with children in one-on-one and group settings through engaging and hands-on learning activities.
- Develop and implement weekly lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs and interests of all children in our care.
- Design and execute a range of learning activities that promote oral and written communication skills in math, literacy, and science.
- Utilize daily mealtimes as an opportunity to teach social skills and incorporate learning into daily routines.
- Establish and maintain a daily schedule and routines that promote structure and consistency for our children.
- Curate the curriculum to focus on areas critical to child development, such as social, motor, and language skills.
- Regularly communicate with parents and students regarding expectations, progress, and areas for growth.
- Foster a positive and respectful learning environment by modeling positive redirection techniques.
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues through trust, empathy, and active listening.
- Ensure a safe and healthy environment for all children by adhering to our health and safety guidelines.
- Exemplify high standards of professionalism and ethics in all interactions.
Requirements
Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or Equivalent and at least one of the following:
- Associate's degree in early childhood education or a related field.
- CDA Certification.
- 2-5 years of experience working in early childhood education.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field is highly desirable.
