Discovery Montessori Academy is hiring for a support staff member role in Allen. Compensation is $16 – $18/Hr. Candidates need the appropriate background.

What You'll Do
Key responsibilities include:
- Plan and implement a curriculum that fosters children's cognitive, social, and emotional growth. Develop a record-keeping system to track each child's progress and celebrate their successes. Maintain a positive and respectful environment for children and adults by advocating conflict resolution and promoting grace, courtesy, and character-building lessons.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in all faculty meetings and scheduled staff events. Stay up-to-date with ongoing training and certifications, including CPR/First Aid and a background check and fingerprinting.
Requirements
We require a candidate with the following qualifications:
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience working with preschool children in a school setting
- Montessori certificate required (in process is okay)
- Proficient and fluent in English
- Ability to work well with children, parents, and other staff members
Nice to Have
Additional qualifications that would be an asset include:
- Bilingual or fluent in Spanish
- A Bachelor's degree or Montessori Certificate in process or already obtained
